Why Remove Your Wisdom Teeth?

Our ancestors once needed wisdom teeth for their diets. However, because we now eat softer foods, our wisdom teeth are useless and even harmful if we don’t remove them. Our mouths only need 28 teeth, and wisdom teeth add an additional four.

If you don’t remove your wisdom teeth, they can cause issues such as:

High school students smiling at their desks
  • Gum disease
  • Infection
  • Tooth decay
  • Crooked teeth
  • Tissue irritation
  • Cysts and tumors

The earlier you have your wisdom teeth taken out, the easier they are to remove and the healthier your mouth will be.

How Our Team Can Help

Our team of oral surgeons is ready to help you have healthier teeth. As specialists in wisdom teeth removal, we understand the problems, consequences, and side effects of wisdom teeth. We can deal with issues as they come up and ensure that you have a safe, healthy, and satisfying dental experience. Dr. Meekins and Dr. Staples have been in this industry for decades and provide the experience and know-how to help guide you throughout this entire process.

We speak Spanish to better accommodate our clients’ needs.
